Data Deletion

This page describes how to request deletion of your data from ScoutLoop. We complete requests within 30 calendar days of receipt, except for information we are required to retain by law (for example, accounting records — 5 years under the RoK Tax Code).

Deletion request methods

Method 1. Via Instagram settings (recommended)

Open Instagram → Settings and activity → Account privacy → Apps and Websites.
Under "Active", find ScoutLoop.
Click "Remove".
Confirm the action.

After access is revoked, Meta automatically notifies ScoutLoop via a secure Data Deletion Callback. We receive the notification, initiate deletion, and close the process within 30 days.

Method 2. Via Facebook settings

Open Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings.
Section Apps and Websites.
Find ScoutLoop and click "Remove".

Method 3. By email

Write to support@scoutloop.io with:

Subject: "Data deletion".
Instagram username (for example, @your_business).
Email or Telegram used at ScoutLoop sign-up (if any).
Confirmation that you are the account owner.

We may request additional information to verify your identity if necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion.

What we delete

Meta access tokens and links to Instagram / Facebook Page / Ad Account.
Stored content plans, analytics, and post-processing results.
Market trend analysis results generated for your account.
Request logs and action history associated with your account.
Backups are overwritten on the regular rotation cycle (up to 30 days).

What we are required to retain

Under RoK law and Meta requirements, we may retain the following for the established periods:

Accounting documents and invoices — 5 years (RoK Tax Code).
Legal correspondence and evidence of consent — until the end of the limitation period.
Anonymized aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you.

Important: revoking access in Meta settings immediately stops ScoutLoop from working with your Instagram account. Scheduled posts are cancelled, ad campaigns continue to run in Meta Ads but cannot be managed through ScoutLoop. This is not reversible — after data deletion, you would need to reconnect the account.

Technical Data Deletion Callback (for Meta administration)

This section is addressed to the Meta App Review team and technical integrators.

Data Deletion Callback URL: https://scoutloop.io/api/meta/data-deletion
Method: HTTPS POST with a signed request (signed_request).
Signature verification: HMAC-SHA256 using the ScoutLoop App Secret, per Meta's official documentation.
Response: JSON object of the form { "url": "<status_url>", "confirmation_code": "<code>" }, where status_url is the public status page and confirmation_code is the unique request identifier.
Request status: available at https://scoutloop.io/data-deletion-status?id=<confirmation_code>.
Completion time: 30 calendar days from receipt of a valid request.
Escalation email: support@scoutloop.io with the header X-ScoutLoop-Confirmation: <code>.
